Bethenny Frankel tweets about separation from Jason Hoppy, thanks fans for support

By Gina DiFalco,

Following announcing her separation from her husband of two years, Bethenny Frankel is thanking her Twitter fans for their support in this trying time.

Frankel and her husband, Jason Hoppy, have decided to separate after hitting a reported rough patch that they couldn’t work through. They met in 2008 while the SkinnyGirl founder was still on The Real Housewives of New York City. They then starred in two spin-offs, Bethenny Getting Married? and Bethenny Ever After.

Frankel told her fans in a statement on Sunday “It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating,” adding, “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family. We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”

The Hollywood Gossip reports that Frankel has taken to her Twitter account to thank her supporters in the wake of their split.

"Thank you all so much. You give me so much love, and I am so grateful. It feels like your words could get someone through anything."

Before that, she wrote “I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family.”
