Beyonce has inked a deal with Pepsi worth an estimated $50 million.
The deal will be cross-promotional, not only featuring Beyonce in a new commercial and making advertising appearances, but the brand will also be investing in Blue Ivy’s mom’s career ventures.
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyoncé said in a statement, The New York Times reports. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
Pepsi will help promote Beyonce’s new album, which is as of now untitled but will come out sometime next year.
Not only will Beyonce appear on a limited edition line of Pepsi cans, but she will appear in her fifth commercial for the brand since 2002.
Furthermore, Celebuzz reports that the Super Bowl halftime show she’s performing in on Feb. 3 will be sponsored by Pepsi.
This type of deal is a step in a new direction for Pepsi, who is attempting to involve themselves in the creative sides of the celebrities they endorse. With their new agreement, they will fund Beyonce’s upcoming photoshoots, appearances, live events and more relating to her new album.
