‘Big Bang Theory’ leads CBS to easy Thursday ratings win, ABC’s ‘Scandal’ continues to improve

The Big Bang Theory helped CBS secure an easy win against the other networks Thursday night in the ratings. Elsewhere, ABC’s Scandal continues to slowly rise.

CBS averaged 13.35 million viewers and a 3.4 18-49 rating. Big Bang started off the night with 16.77 million viewers and a big 5.4 18-49 rating, blowing past everything else that was on last night, notes EW. Two and a Half Men followed with 13.56 million viewers and a 4.2 18-49 rating, while Person of Interest continued the winning streak with 14.24 million viewers and a 3.0 18-49 rating. Elementary followed with 10.63 million and a 2.3 18-49 rating.

ABC was in a distant second place with 7.36 million viewers and a 2.3 18-49 rating, reports HitFix. Last Resort had 5.5 million viewers and a 1.2 18-49 rating, while Grey’s Anatomy had 8.77 million and a 3.1 key demo rating. Scandal was up again to 7.8 million viewers and a 2.7 18-49 rating, a series high.

Fox finished third with 6.46 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating. The X Factor had 7.65 million viewers and a 2.4 18-49 rating, while Glee had 5.3 million and a 2.0. Both shows were down slightly, according to The Wrap.

NBC’s numbers were embarrassing , drawing just 3.36 million viewers and a 1.0 18-49 rating on the night. An hour of Up All Night had just 2.75 million viewers and a 1.0 18-49 rating. (The CW’s The Vampire Diaries actually topped it in the demo.) Take It All continues to disappoint with just 3.9 million viewers and a 1.2 18-49 rating. Rock Center had 3.43 million viewers and a 0.9 18-49 rating.

The CW’s The Vampire Diaries had 2.74 million viewers and a 1.2 18-49 rating. Beauty and the Beast had 1.61 million and a 0.6 18-49 rating.
