Spears has been at the center of rumors that she will be axed from the hit singing competition after she reportedly failed to bring any excitement to the show as producers had hoped for. Reports that she will not return for a second season run have not been confirmed.
Spears collaborated with Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am. The song was leaked on Twitter before its X Factor debut. The singer didn’t mind as she embraced the praises the song received. “Scream and Shout” debuted in November.
If Spears releases an album, it will mark her eighth studio alum and will follow her 2011 drop of Femme Fatale, MTV notes.
