CBS has set its midseason schedule for the 2012-2013 TV season. The network only has one new show premiering, a new cop drama called Golden Boy. However, the sitcom Rules of Engagement will be back and CSI: NY will end its season in February.
Golden Boy will have a special preview on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Tuesday, March 5 at 10 pm. The show will have its regular time slot premiere on Friday, March 8 at 9pm.
The series focuses on a young New York cop played by Theo James who manages to become the youngest NYC commissioner in history. He deals with the personal and professional cost of the job. Chi McBride co-stars as his veteran partner.
Vegas, which stars Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis, will return from its hiatus on March 12 at 10 pm. CSI: NY will have an early season finale on Friday, Feb. 22 at 9 pm. Golden Boy will be taking over its timeslot.
Rules of Engagement will start its seventh season on Monday, Feb. 4 at 8:30 pm, taking the slot that was once held by the now-cancelled Partners.
On the reality show front, Survivor’s spring season will kick off on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 8 pm. The spring season for The Amazing Race will start on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 8 pm.
CBS did not mention Friend Me, a sitcom from the late Alan Kirschenbaum. The Hollywood Reporter notes that a date for the show will be announced at a later date.
