CBS announced the premiere date for a new reality series titled The Job, which will air in February. The series will be produced by reality veteran Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor) and Michael Davies (Who Wants to be a Millionaire).
The show will give its contestants a chance to win a top position with an opportunity to climb up the corporate ladder at some of the biggest American companies. The View’s Lisa Ling will provide the contestants with the necessary advice to help them compete in the fashion, game design, sports, entertainment and travel industries.
The Job will premiere on February 8 in its regular Friday 8 p.m. slot. The series will air until April, when Undercover Boss returns. That show will be back on April 19.
Deadline notes that The Job will be the lead-in for the first six regular airings of Golden Boy, a new mid-season cop drama that is scheduled to begin airing in its regular Friday 9 p.m. slot on March 8. Golden Boy will have two preview episodes on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Tuesday, March 5.
CBS will announce the contestants and companies participating in The Job after the New Year. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Embassy Row. Executive producers include Burnett, Davies and Jay Bienstock.
