Chad Johnson’s sex tape removed from the Internet

By Daniel S Levine,

Chad Johnson successfully managed to get the sex tape that was leaked this week off the Internet.

The tape was posted on WorldStarHipHop.com on Tuesday and Johnson later confirmed on Twitter that the tape was real. His ex-wife Evelyn Lozada also said she knew about it, tweeting, “the video is old news over here in my circle.”

The tape was apparently recorded three years ago and features Johnson havign sex with two women in a Florida hotel room.

Johnson said he didn’t know who was behind the leak. He called on the FBI, hoping that they could get to the bottom of it and his lawyer issued a cease and desist letter.

The letter worked and several sites have already pulled the tape, reports TMZ. The former NFL star’s attorneys say that the tape was stolen property and the sites did not have the right to publish it. His attorneys are still going after smaller sites that still have the tape up, though.

They have threatened legal action against anyone who will not pull the tape.

The sex tape scandal was just the latest in a troubled 2012 for Johnson. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins before the NFL season started, but was cut after he was arrested for domestic abuse against Lozada. After less than a month and a half of marriage, Lozada field for divorce and the Vh1 reality show that starred the two was cancelled.

The two are trying to reconcile, with Lozada dropping the restraining order against Johnson earlier this month.
