Actor Charlie Sheen’s erratic behavior is long gone and the Anger Management actor is showing that by donating to a little girl’s fight against cancer. Sheen donated $75,000 to help fight a Hermosa Beach police officer’s 10-year-old daughter’s cancer.
Sheen had heard about Jasmine’s battle with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma while having a chat with another Hermosa Beach officer, who told him about her, reports TMZ.
The disease requires a year of extensive chemotherapy treatments and orrus in the muscle tissue.
“No parent should have to watch their kid go through that,” Sheen reportedly told the officer.
He then wrote a $75,000 check which has jump started a foundation from the officer’s association on Sunday. They posted images of Sheen’s check, as well as a $25,000 check from Eddie Braun, Sheen’s stunt double.
Jasmine’s family appreciated Sheen’s donation and hopes that it will inspire others, TMZ reports.
“On behalf of the HBPOA, the Faulk family and those who support children fighting cancer, we thank you for your generous donation,” the Hermosa Beach police wrote on Facebook.
Sheen has certainly been in a charitable mood lately, having reportedly given Lindsay Lohan $100,000 to help her pay her taxes. It looks like he learned his lesson about helping fellow celebs, though, since he complained that he didn’t get a thank you.
