Evelyn Lozada has decided to drop her restraining order against former NFL player Chad Johnson, who she was married to for just over a month. Lozada had filed for divorce following an argument with Johnson, in which he allegedly head-butted her and was arrested.
According to TMZ, the two appeared together in a Florida courtroom today and Lozada requested that the judge allow her to drop the restraining order she had against Johnson.
Since the August incident, Johnson has made several TV appearances, apologizing and admitting that he has anger issues. Still, just days after the incident, Lozada filed for divorce, their Vh1 series was cancelled and the Miami Dolphins released Johnson. In September, he reached a plea deal and will avoid jail time.
During today’s hearing, Lozada told the judge that she wasn’t coerced into asking to drop the restraining order. She was also asked if she was still afraid of Johnson. “No,” she replied.
So, the judge granted Lozada’s request.
Sources also told TMZ that Lozada, who starred on Basketball Wives, is looking forward to talking with Johnson again.
While Johnson has been doing the talk show rounds, Lozada recently went nude for a PETA ad, notes The Huffington Post.
