‘General Hospital’ weekly recap – Week of 12/3-12/7

By Sari N. Kent,
Maxie told her surrogacy plans to Spinelli and Ellie, Robert told Helena his “Faison is posing as Duke” story, Todd turned Sabrina down when she approached him underwrite the Nurses Ball, Connie put her name on Molly’s manuscript and Faison revealed himself to Anna.

Dante and Lulu went to bed to celebrate that they finally found their surrogate. Later, they toasted to Rocko or Juliet even though Lulu was worried that they were tempting fate by talking about names but Dante wasn’t worried. Their only reservation was Maxie. Dante told Lulu that he thought that one of them should be with her all times but Lulu didn’t want to squander the last nine or so months they would have to be alone. They hit the sheets again and afterward Lulu suggested that Maxie move in with them. Dante refused because he still wanted a life. Dante then told Lulu that if she doesn’t trust Maxie to just put guidelines in the contract. She replied that she hadn’t thought about a contract but Dante insisted and said if they all live together, he and Lulu will never be alone and be able to be intimate.

Ellie asked Maxie about the ultimatum she gave Spinelli when she got back to the apartment. She told Maxie that “airing my feelings is the surest way to exorcize them.” Plus, Ellie wanted to repair the rift between her and Maxie. Maxie insisted she had already has moved on and that an amazing opportunity had fallen into her lap. She then told Spinelli and Ellie that she was going to be Dante and Lulu’s surrogate. Spinelli was stunned and wasn’t so sure it was good news while Ellie was impressed and told Maxie that she was wrong about her. Later, Maxie listened in as Spinelli worried about her. When they were alone she let him know that she was still upset that he chose Ellie over her.

Tea, Carly, Skye, Blair and Todd waited for Tomas at Tea’s in Llanview. A CIA agent arrived with info about Tea’s brother. Blair demanded to know when her fiancé would be back and he broke the news that there would be no wedding because Agent Delgado had been called out of the country on an old case. This delighted Todd. Then, Carly shows the agent a picture of Lorenzo/Tomas and asked him what his real name is. He balked, so Blair threatened to sic her aunt Dorian on him but still he had nothing to tell them and left. When Todd apologized, Blair smacked him across the face. Carly then tried to convince Blair about Lorenzo but Blair said that she was going to go find Tomas and bring him home. Tea then said that she was going too and so was Skye. Later, Carly questioned Todd about his involvement in all of this. He swore that he didn’t have anything to do with Lorenzo/Tomas abrupt departure. She wondered if this meant that there was still hope for Todd and Blair.

Robert greeted Helena at Wyndemere. He understood that she wanted him dead but he wanted information on one of her former associates – Faison. She was confused since she told Robert that he’s been dead for ages. Robert then asked what it would take for her to tell him what he needed to know. She said she’d tell him what she could if he told her why. He then laid out why he thought Faison was passing himself off as Duke. Afterward, she accused him of being delusional although the part about the LSD was her favorite. She then assured him that Faison was dead and if he were alive, she would have found him a long time ago and killed him herself.

At The Haunted Star, Anna tells “Duke” that she wanted them to take their time getting to know each other again. He then told her that he knew that he wasn’t the man she fell in love with, but that it was unfair for her to hold him at arm’s length. He then added that he didn’t blame her just the circumstances. She replied that she needed him to respect her feelings. “If we don’t move slowly, we’ll have anything at all.” “Duke” then agreed to take it slow because he didn’t want to lose her. She assured him there was no risk of that. He then asked her to go away with him, somewhere isolated, for a few days. “Maybe Silver Mountain where they used to go,” “Duke” suggested but she corrected him that it was the mountain next to it. She asked for time to think about the trip. Later, Helena called “Duke” and told him that Robert was on to him.

Robert ran into Anna at the Metro Court and stopped himself from telling her something.

Felicia arrived at Maxie’s and tried to stop her from going to the hospital because she was concerned about her heart transplant and also worried that Maxie wouldn’t be able to walk away from a baby she carries for nine months. Maxie told Felicia that she knows this is a big deal but that it feels right. Then, Maxie realized she was late meeting Lulu and Felicia offered to drive her. She told her that she was still worried but that she would stand by her.

Tracy offered up a teddy bear and snacks to Sam when she arrived at the Quartermaine mansion with Danny. Sam wondered what she really wanted. Then, AJ poked his head in and told Sam that Tracy wanted her 18 percent of ELQ. Sam then asked about Jason’s previous shares and Tracy told her only the shares from direct heirs have a say on the board. Then, AJ and Tracy bickered while Sam realized her vote could swing it either way. AJ thought it would be great payback but Tracy reminded Sam that anyone who has every trusted AJ has learned to regret it. Tracy left and Sam told AJ she didn’t want anything to do with ELQ. Then, he asked her to stay for lunch and she agreed.

Robert visited Dante at home and told him that he needed help getting proof that “Duke” was really Faison and that he was running out of options. Dante had to leave to meet Lulu at the hospital but said he would help Robert within reason when he returned. Then, Dante left and Robert did too.

Dr. Obrecht arrived at “Duke’s” and assured him didn’t find out his true identity from her. Then, he handed her a gun and instructed her to kill Robert. He left and then Robert broke in. Obrecht grabbed the gun and hid out on the balcony. She was able to escape undetected while Robert looked around.

At the hospital, Patrick asked Sabrina if she was ready for their date. She got flustered and asked Felix, a new nurse, how she looked. He offered to give her a full on makeover since he happened to have some lipstick on hand and fixed her up. Meanwhile, Lulu waited for Maxie and Dante by the elevators. Patrick joined her and they discussed how Maxie was a great surrogate choice. Then, Britt joined Lulu then Dante and Maxie joined them too and they went into a room. Later, Patrick met back up with Sabrina, who now had lipstick on her teeth. In the exam room, Britt went over the demanding details of what they were going to do but Maxie, Lulu and Dante were all still sure they wanted to move forward.

Patrick and Sabrina discussed their options for financial backers for the Nurses Ball at lunch. Sabrina had made a list of rich people she read about in town and she wanted to ask them to donate. They crossed Tracy off right off the bat and agreed that Carly is out because the money was really Jax’s. Sonny was a gangster, so he was out and the same went for Johnny. Todd was the last name on her list. She still thought Sonny would be a good choice because she saw pictures of him with Robin but Patrick was firm and teared up thinking about Robin. He apologized and Sabrina told him that loving Robin was nothing to be sorry about.

John met Anna at the Metro Court and asked her for a job at the PCPD and explained that he needed a stable income. Anna told him that Delores had recently left so Dante needed a partner and she welcomed him aboard. She then told him that she wanted him to find out who Scully was working for. Then, “Duke” arrived and wanted an answer about their trip away. Suddenly, Dr. Albrecht called “Duke” and told him that Robert was in the apartment. He then told Anna that someone had broken in and they left together to check it out.

Back at the Quartermaine mansion, AJ told Sam he really wanted to get things right this time. She believed him. Meanwhile, John arrived and questioned Tracy about Joe Jr. Sam and Danny came out and Tracy pulled AJ back in the room and told him that she knew that he was working Sam for that 18 percent. Meanwhile, Sam apologized to John for yelling at him. He accepted her apology, told her about his new job with the PCPD and how he was going to find out who shot Jason.

Anna kicked open “Duke’s” door and Robert was standing there. She was livid but he couldn’t believe she couldn’t see this wasn’t Duke Lavery. “This is Faison!” Robert told Anna as he pointed at “Duke.” Anna looked shocked.

Carly was upset about AJ being at the Metro Court and Sonny thought he made it worse. He then told her that Michael caught him holding Connie after he kidnapped her. He added that Michael misread the whole situation and threatened to turn him in. Carly realized that he played right into AJ’s hands. She then told Sonny that she was scared and felt alone with Jason gone. Sonny held her, told her that he knew how she felt and apologized for how he handled Connie. She then urged him to put up a united front for Michael. He agreed, but said that he wasn’t giving up on Kate either.

Michael went to see AJ at the mansion and told him that he was right about Sonny. AJ replied that he cared about Michael’s happiness and hoped he and Sonny could work it out. Then, Diane arrived and told AJ that dodging the kidnapping charges could be tricky. Michael offered to not testify but Diane thought they needed to give the DA what they really wanted…a bigger criminal. AJ then told Diane that he had someone in mind… Faison. He told Diane that his doctor at the Swiss clinic had a business relationship with him. It was a while ago but he was still a patient when AJ left. AJ even had a picture of Faison that he took with his phone. Then, Diane told them the charges would disappear as soon as they presented this evidence.

TJ did a mock up cover of Molly’s book for her at Kelly’s. She was worried because Todd never got back to her. They realized TJ’s hard copy was missing and suddenly Molly realized that the original copy on her computer was gone for good too.

Connie marked up Molly’s manuscript at Johnny’s apartment. When he came in, he was surprised to see her and wished he had changed the locks. She told him that she thought they had a moment when she made him a sandwich but his only concern was that she would come back. “Why couldn’t you have just stayed gone?” Johnny asked Connie, who told him to lay off or she would tell everyone the truth about him killing Starr’s kid. Suddenly, Starr knocked and demanded the manuscript back. Connie secretly grabbed the book and left. Alone, Johnny told Starr that Connie was blackmailing him and that he didn’t want this life but that he had no choice. Starr then demanded to know what Connie had over him.

Sonny ran into Connie at the Metro Court. He apologized again for what Joe Jr. did to her and wanted to make it up to her. She told him that she was moving on and writing a romance novel. He didn’t think she would have to write a book if she was being romanced the right way. “Does you miss being with a man instead of a boy?” Sonny asked Connie. He then gave her his number in case she needed help with that.

Starr barged into Todd’s office thinking that he had something to do with Tomas’ disappearance. He told her that he had nothing to do with it. In fact, Carly and Skye thought he was someone named Alcazar. Starr then told him that she actually came to talk about the manuscript. Todd said that he didn’t get to it and she insisted he read it right then but he couldn’t find it. Starr found a gaudy accessory and called out "That skank!" Todd told her she had to be more specific. Starr realized Connie took the novel and stormed off to "teach that baby killer a lesson." Later, Carly came by and accused Todd of still loving Blair and that she was glad that she dodged a bullet by not sleeping with him. She then asked what she means to him. He told her she was the only friend he’s ever had. She reiterated that she was glad that she never slept with him as Molly and TJ arrived. They asked Todd for the manuscript and he suggested they ask Connie, who just walked in.

In “Duke’s” room, Robert tried to persuade Anna that he was really Faison and that he could prove it. He told Anna about Olivia’s visions, which were reliable and Dante can back him up on that. He added that he had Olivia talk to Elizabeth Webber and she sketched what Olivia saw. He then showed Anna the sketch Elizabeth made. Anna thinks Elizabeth may have done it subconsciously. Robert then showed Anna that “Duke” was smoking one of those cigarillos and that he had left behind on the docks. Anna was shocked but didn’t believe Robert. He begged for her support but she couldn’t. Then, she called the station to report Robert’s break in and had him taken away. Alone, “Duke” held her while she looked at the sketch.

TJ and Molly asked Todd for her manuscript back at Manning Enterprises but Todd said he didn’t have it, but Connie, who just walked in might. It was in her purse, but she told Molly she never heard of it. Molly begged Connie and told her that it was her only copy. Connie was happy to hear that. TJ started looking around the office but Connie stopped him. Molly volunteered herself and TJ to intern at Crimson. Connie reluctantly agreed, but then shoved them out. Alone, she crossed out Molly’s name on the manuscript and put her own. “Now, for that horrible title,” Connie said.

At his place, Johnny told Starr what Connie had on him was really bad. She guessed that he murdered Anthony. Starr asked why he would do it…unless it was as revenge for Cole and Hope’s death! “You must be going through hell because of me,” she told Johnny, who replied, “You have no idea.” On her way out, Starr saw her CD and commented that they made a good team. He agreed.

At Kelly’s, Spinelli asked Maxie about her doctor’s appointment. She snapped at him, but he rubbed her back and told her that he would always care as Ellie came in. She said that she wasn’t there to talk about their relationship. Ellie said that she knew that Maxie had her first shot of hormones and how it can make people irritable. Todd arrived and pulled Spinelli away from them. He told him that wanted to hire them to find Molly’s manuscript. Spinelli refuses because of what he did to Sam and Jason. Todd wondered why people keep harping on that. Meanwhile, Ellie hoped Maxie can count on her too. “This doesn’t have to be a competition,” Ellie told her but Maxie disagreed. She told Ellie that she and Spinelli were for a lifetime and would get back together. Later, Molly and TJ arrived and talk about their plan to find the manuscript. Todd ran into Starr outside. She told him that she saw Johnny and kind of felt bad for him. "This day sucks," he said as he stomped off. Starr joined TJ and Molly inside and they agreed Connie must have it.

Todd went to see Johnny at home and suggested that he stay away from Starr. Johnny realized he that if he told Starr she would know Todd knew all along and covered it up but Johnny wasn’t sure she wouldn’t figure it out on her own.

Olivia had a vision of Lulu hauling a husky around in her baby carrier when she visited her at work. Lulu couldn’t stop crying. She told Olivia that she’s emotional from her shot and Olivia calmed her down. Later, Anna arrived and asked Olivia about the sketch of Faison. Lulu overheard Anna tell Olivia that she had Robert arrested. She started crying again and Anna assured them that “Duke” was who he says he was. Anna then explained how Faison nearly destroyed her life and if she thought Robert was right she wouldn’t go skiing with him.

Dante and John were chatting about their new partnership at PCPD when Robert was brought in. Dante introduced John to Robert. They bonded over being in the FBI and John told Robert that he’s “a bit of legend.” Robert then brought up his suspicions about Faison and John was very skeptical. Robert told him that Faison is obsessed with Anna and that she’s been blindsided by grief. “When she snaps out of it, Faison is going to turn on her,” Robert said. Then, Lulu arrived, still upset about Olivia’s dog vision, and told them that Anna was leaving for a ski trip with “Duke.”

In Faison’s room, Anna looked at the sketch of Faison. “Duke” asked if she regretted having Robert arrested. “Perhaps a trip to the mountains would help take your mind of things,” “Duke” told Anna, then he produced ski lift tickets and she decided going away with him and said it was exactly what she needed. Later, Dr. Obrecht met with “Duke” and he filled her in. He realized that he didn’t even need Robin to win Anna over but he had come too far to stop now. Anna had to see for herself that Faison and Duke are two separate people. Obrecht left to get everything set up. Alone, “Duke” ripped up the ski passes.

“Duke” walks into Olivia at the Metro Court as she looked at the sketch of Faison. He commented on the quality of the work. When Anna arrived he told her that their plans have changed and they were going to Switzerland instead.

Sabrina practiced her pitch for Todd in the on-call room. A shirtless Patrick caught her and threw her off. He wondered why she didn’t ask him to come with. “We are working together aren’t we?” he asked Sabrina. Britt spied them together and then insisted that Patrick consult on a case. She pushed Sabrina to reschedule with Todd but Sabrina decided to go on her own. Patrick told her that he had confidence in her. Patrick gave Britt his consult and was surprised it wasn’t as dire as she made it seem. He was glad that he could still make that meeting with Sabrina.

Carly went to see Todd in his office and apologized for being upset about Blair. She told him that she was really upset about Michael. Todd told her she needs to admit she was wrong and say she’s sorry to Michael but Carly said she isn’t sorry though. He then told her that they have to make their kids feel safe even if they have to prop up the illusion that everything is okay. Later, Sabrina arrived at Todd’s office. There was some confusion as to who and why she was there until she revealed she was there about the Nurse’s Ball. She told him about the history of AIDS research, how the ball lifted everyone’s spirits and how she was hoping he would underwrite it. He told her no and that he wished he could but that he was broke since Jerry took $18 million from him. Then, she called him a fool for missing out on something that would save lives. She stomped off and ran into Patrick, who told her how proud he was of her and Robin would be too.

At home, a shirtless Michael told Starr that AJ may go free. He talked about how hard prison was. They kissed and things get heavy. He didn’t want to pressure her but she wanted this. Suddenly, Carly wouldn’t stop knocking. Starr finally answered while Michael got dressed. Carly apologized for calling the cops on AJ. She hoped he could forgive her for not respecting his wishes. He forgave her and hoped she could understand why he will join the board at ELQ with AJ. Carly couldn’t hold back saying what a mistake that would be. She guessed that AJ’s first order of business would be to force Tracy out. “Can’t you see AJ is using you?” Carly asked Michael. She then said his ELQ shares are in a trust until he is 25 and she won’t release them. Then, Michael threw her out.

Tracy went to PCPD to visit Robert and ran into AJ and Diane, who were there to see John. John had Tracy escorted to Robert’s cell where he was trying to convince Dante to release him. Tracy arrived as Dante left. Robert told Tracy that Luke told him that Tracy would help if he needed it. She told him that if Luke trusted him, she does too, and that she would help get Faison. Meanwhile, AJ showed John the picture of Faison on his phone. Dante joined them and Diane told them this was the kind of arrest that resets careers. Dante pulled John and the lawyer outside where they agreed Faison was a much bigger threat. They made the deal and John grilled AJ about Faison. He told them Faison was in Switzerland. Diane called Michael and told him all charges against AJ had been dropped. AJ told Tracy that he would see her in the boardroom. Dante returned to Robert and told him that he was right about Faison.

In Lucerne, Switzerland, Anna and “Duke” checked in. She was unsettled and wondered if Faison was alive? She nearly lost everything because of him. “Duke” encouraged her to stop thinking about it and unpack. She asks that they not discuss Faison again and went to her own room. Obrecht came out as Faison removed his mask. She pointed out that Anna’s presence could be his undoing. He told her that he had to take a calculated risk. Anna returned and hears a struggle. She ignored a call from John. He left her a voicemail that Faison was alive. She broke in and Faison closed the door behind her.

Back at the hospital, Patrick has faith in Sabrina. Later, Britt told Sabrina there was no fairy tale ending for the ball. Alone, Sabrina looked through the scrapbook and spotted a picture of Lucy Coe.

Carly returned to Todd’s office and told him what happened with Michael.
