Singer Janet Jackson is reportedly engaged to billionaire Wissam Al Mana and the two are planning a spring wedding.
Us Weekly first reported Wednesday that Al Mana, a 37-year-old luxury brand mogul, popped the question earlier this year and gave her a “huge, expensive ring,” according to a source.
For those wondering why she hasn’t been seen with the huge ring, the source explained, “She's afraid it will get lost, so she keeps it locked up!”
The couple plan to get married this spring in Qatar and it “will cost millions,” according to another source. “He is flying in all of Janet's friends and family on private jets” and “He wants to get a top chef to create a custom menu.”
It will be “a circus,” another source added.
According to The Huffington Post, the report should sound a little familiar, since the National Enquirer made similar claims in October. At the time, the tabloid claimed that Al Mana was ready to spend $3 million to fly the Jackson family to Qatar and each guest would get a $10,000 Rolex just for coming.
Rumors that they will marry started in 2010, when they started dating. Jackson even denied those rumors on Good Morning America in 2010. “He is a very private man so i don't talk about our relationship. But it is really important that I just say this,” she said. “They [media] have been trying to marry me off for a very very long time. No I am not engaged, I will say that. I am in a really good place.”
Jackson, 46, has been married twice. She dated Jermaine Dupri until 2009.
Us Weekly's report adds that Jackson is also eager to have children. "If she can't have them, she will adopt," one source said.
