American Idol judge Mariah Carey brought back her hit Christmas song, “All I Want For Christmas is You.” With the help of Jimmy Fallon, The Roots and several toy instruments, the duo rocked the song Tuesday evening.
Fallon took to the wood block, tambourine, bass drum and kazoo to aid the Grammy award winning singer in a rendition which aired on Fallon’s late night talk show, New York Daily News reports.
Even a handful of elementary children joined in for the chorus of the hit 1994 song.
Carey is gearing up for her judging debut on American Idol which is set to make a two-night premiere January 6 and January 7 on Fox. Carey will be joined by Keith Urban, Randy Jackson and fellow newbie, Nicki MInaj, whom she has shared a fair-share of banter and controversy with other the last few months.
The two had an explosive blowup during the filming of their earlier auditions. The two are reportedly in the talks of d/performing an AI duet.
