While Hugh Grant’s lovable romantic-comedies make most women swoon, the actor is not perceived as a great guest to Jon Stewart.
Stewart explained that the 52-year-old actor is his “least favorite guest” during an interview with Stephen Colbert, Entertainment Tonight reports. The Comedy Central Daily Show host also states that if it is his decision, Grant will never be seen on his show again.
According to Stewart, Grant acted like a diva before their interview in 2009, complaining about the clip production provided while promoting his film,Did You Hear About the Morgans?. Their interview can be seen in the clip below. The two don't reveal any tension in the actual interview.
"He's giving everyone s*** the whole time, and he's a big pain in the a**," Stewart told Colbert, as quoted by Third-Beat. “What is that clip? It's a terrible clip!” Stewart replied, "Well, then make a better f***ing movie."
During his interview with Colbert, which took place Dec. 7 during a fundraiser for the Monteclair Film Festival in New Jersey, Stewart also expressed that he almost quit his job due to “a**hole” coworkers.
Upon being told he couldn’t change his jokes or add any to improve, the 50-year-old host explains that he wanted nothing to do with it and wanted his agent to find a way out.
“[I told my agent] get me the f*** out of this. These people are insane ... I had to be talked down from a moderately high cliff ... What I did not realize is, a lot of the people who worked there were a**holes."
