Jon Stewart has had to interview a lot of celebrities in his decade as host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, but there is one particular one he hated. While talking to his friend and fellow Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert at the Montclair Film Festival last week, Stewart revealed that Hugh Grant is one actor he never hopes to see on the show again.
During the discussion, Colbert asked Stewart about his least favorite guest. He named Grant immediately noting, “and we’ve had dictators on the show.”
Third-Beat Magazine notes that Grant spent the entire time complaining about being there. “He’s giving everyone s**t the whole time, and he’s a big pain in the a**,” Stewart said.
Grant even complained about the clip they showed from Did you Hear About The Morgans?, the film he was promoting at the time. “What is that clip? It’s a terrible clip,” Stewart remembers Grant asking.
“Well, then make a better f**king movie,” Stewart said, noting that he’ll “never” have Grant on the show again, notes E! News.
During the same discussion with Colbert, Stewart talked about how he almost quit the show in 1999, when he first joined, blaming the “a**holes” that worked there.
“What I did not realize is, a lot of the people who worked there were a--holes,” he said.
Stewart just wrapped up the show’s 2012 season Thursday night and will be back next year.
