Katt Williams arrested in Seattle

Rough weekend for comedian

Comedian Katt Williams has been arrested in Seattle for causing a stir at a bar on Sunday night.

According to E! Online, the comedian was at the World Sports Grille in Seattle when he got into a verbal argument with another individual. He was charged and taken to jail for assault, harassment and obstructing police officers. An initial hearing to set bail is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

According to a statement published by the Seattle Police Department’s website, Williams did more than verbally argue.

“Williams flicked a cigarette through a car window at a woman, striking her just below her eye. Williams also threw a rock at the family’s car.”

The statement also detailed another incident that happened after his Friday show in the area.

“Williams was involved in an altercation with three fans. The fans claimed Williams had attacked them after they tried to take a photo with him after the show. However, Williams claimed the fans had forced their way into his dressing room, and denied assaulting anyone. Officers did not make any arrests.”

Will Williams be visiting Seattle anytime soon? That remains to be seen. It would be advised that he stay away from the area for a little while, however if he had to avoid areas where he had legal trouble, he would need to avoid Oakland, CA as well. Police there had to collar the comedian after he allegedly broke a bottle over another person’s head.
