Ke$ha has been more than cooperative with the fact that radio states are pulling her song “Die Young” in the wake of the tragedy at Newtown elementary school last Friday.
She has been active on Twitter, tweeting her condolences to the families affected by the horrible incident.
Despite the song slipping from 167 million listeners last Friday to just 19 million this Monday, she tweeted she never wanted to sing that song in the first place. She has, however, taken down her tweet that “I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO."
Well something isn’t adding up here, because in November, Ke$ha boasted about writing the song.
She said on 95.5 WPLJ in New York, "I definitely make sure that every word rings true to me because I would never want to misrepresent myself to millions of people around the world ... I wrote and wrote and rewrote that song ten times."
Ke$ha hasn’t responded to requests for comment from TMZ.
The lyics to the song, by the way, are "Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young. We're gonna die young. We're gonna die young."
