Kelly Clarkson engaged to Brandon Blackstock

Less than one month after joking about becoming engaged to Brandon Blackstock on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kelly Clarkson announced Saturday that she is engaged.

“I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :),” she wrote.

While most celebs try to hide their ring finger after announcing an engagement, the American Idol alum couldn’t contain her excitement, showing off her gorgeous new ring on Twitter for all to see.

“Everyone has been asking about my engagement ring, so here it is :) It's a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around …” she captioned the photo of her stunning new rock.

The “Stronger” singer appeared on Ellen last month where the hilarious host stated that “everyone” is engaged. Clarkson was quick to correct DeGeneres noting that she is not yet engaged saying, “We are totally going to get married…We love each other. We are totally going to get married one day.”

She then jokingly said, "I mean, he's got to put a ring on at some point! But I'll wait it out."
