Kelly Clarkson is officially off the market. After dating boyfriend Brandon Blackstock for nine months he finally popped the question.
The couple has recently moved in together in Nashville, where most of their work is done. Brandon is the step-son of country superstar Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock, Kelly's manager. After gushing about her boyfriend in plenty of interviews, especially on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she said, "He's gotta put a ring on it at some point," Kelly's dream has finally come true.
Kelly has been scrutinized for years with rumors claiming she is a lesbian. Although Kelly does not consider this a horrible thing, it is just not true. Now, the rumors can finally be put to bed.
Brandon popped the question Friday night and Kelly took to Twitter Saturday proclaiming that she was engaged and just two hours after posted a picture of the gorgeous canary yellow diamond ring. According to Rolling Stone, Kelly said she has never really been concerned with dating and that she wanted it to happen as naturally as possible. Clarkson is set to perform at VH1 Diva's Sunday at 9 p.m as well as The Voice finale on Tuesday at 9 p.m, and will be ready to show off her new piece of bling.
This will be Clarkson's first time down the aisle and Blackstock's second. Congratulations to the happy and newly engaged couple!
