The Kings of Leon family continues to grow. Nathan Followill, the band’s drummer, and his wife, Jessie Baylin, welcomed their first child, daughter Violet Marlowe Followill, on Wednesday.
“Mom, Dad and baby are doing well and are so in love!” a rep told People in a statement. Violet was born at 4:01 p.m. and weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz.
The 33-year-old Followill and Baylin, 28, a singer/songwriter, announced the pregnancy in June. The couple married in 2009, notes E! News.
“I’m beyond excited/anxious,” Followill wrote on Twitter at the time. On Thursday, he took to Twitter again to confirm Violet’s birth. “I can proudly announce the birth of my sweet angel Violet Marlowe Followill,” he wrote. “My heart has been stollen and it feels so good.”

Victoria will join the growing Kings of Leon family. In June, frontman Caleb Followill and Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge welcomed their first child, Dixie Pearl. In May 2011, guitarist Matthew Followill’s wife Johanna Bennett gave birth to Knox Cameron Patrick.
The group’s latest album is 2010’s Come Down Sundown.
