Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to star in 'The Sandpiper' remake?

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s rocky summer breakup was splashed across headlines after it was revealed that Stewart cheated on Pattison with Snow White and the Huntsmen director Rupert Sanders. Now, it is being reported that Stewart and Pattinson could co-star in a film centered around cheating.

Entertainment Wise reports that Pattinson and Stewart could star in a remake of the Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton movie The Sandpiper.

The film will feature a teacher having an affair with a single mother, reports Examiner.

An insider tells Hollywood Life, "He [Rob] recognizes there’s a certain screen magic when he and Kristen are together. Besides, there’s less chance she’ll get in trouble again.”

So far the film has not been confirmed, nor has Stewart and Pattinson’s involvement. Following their highly anticipated conclusion to the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn-Part 2, Stewart has been out promoting her post-Twilight film On the Road.

It was recently reported that she would reprise her role in the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsmen says Sanders, who directed the previous film.
