Lady Gaga sends gifts to high school shooting victim Daniel Borowy

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Lady Gaga has reached out to Daniel Borowy, a passionate Gaga fan who was reportedly shot on the first day of school at Perry Hall High School.

Baltimore Sun reports that Borowy’s father created a Facebook page to encourage Gaga to visit his son in the hospital. Although the campaign aimed at getting the superstar to visit, the “Bad Romance” did the second best thing and sent the teen a box of gifts.

The campaign revealed the news on the Lady Gaga Please Visit Daniel Facebook page.

He writes, “With the tragedy taking place at Sandy Hook last week, we felt it was not appropriate to post this...however, feeling that everyone could use some uplifting news at this point I would like to share a post from Daniel's father, Milton Borowy.”

Continuing, the post reads, “I would like to start by thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Daniel. With everything that is going on I was waiting for an appropriate time to share this information and feel that maybe we need some good news! With that said I would like to share that he has received a package from Lady Gaga. It is pretty cool that someone in her position took the time to make a complete stranger happy. The package included T shirts, cd's, a persoanlly autographed message to Danny, a picture and 2 tickets to her upcoming concert.. ( I believe they are front row) To see the smile on his face is overwhelming."

The announcement concludes, "Thank you Lady Gaga and thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this happen!!”

According to Salon.com, Mowry was injured during a random shooting by a classmate.
