LeAnn Rimes was a special guest on Wednesday evening's X Factor, where she sang a duet with Carly Rose Sonenclar. Rimes’ rendition of “How Do I Live?” has many questioning if the singer was sober during her performance as her singing was slurred, missing words and all around upsetting for viewers.
Idolator reports that Soneclar, one of three finalists, looked visibly uncomfortable on stage with the country singer as Rimes stumbled toward her, slurred her words and then leaned against her for support.
Soneclar’s part of the duet seemed effortless despite the discomforted look on her face.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rimes was hoarse from being sick.
Despite what is being called a “a hot mess,” Soneclar has since confessed that singing alongside Rimes was “one of the most fun moments I had on stage,” Daily Mail reports.
Judge Britney Spears called the performance, “Shockingly amazing.”
What do you think? Was Rimes’ performance a mess or was she simply trying to make it through after being sick?
