“The 35-year-old has been charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13 and possession/distribution of indecent images of children,” a spokesman for the Cardiff Magistrates said today, according to The Telegraph.
The singer is also accused of conspiring with another woman to rape a 1-year-old girl, and possessing, creating and distributing inappropriate material, including animal pornography according to The Independent.
Watkins is being charged with two women, ages 20 and 24, and the singer will be detained until his next court hearing scheduled for Dec. 31.
“I want to encourage anyone who has any concerns or information which they think may be relevant to contact us,” said Detective Inspector Peter Doyle. “Safeguarding children involved in such cases is always a high priority and as such measures have already been taken.”
