Megan Fox is opening up about motherhood and child birth, calling the experience "intense."
During the press conference for her upcoming film, This Is 40, co-starring Paul Rudd, the 26-year-old new mom discussed her labor with Access Hollywood, noting that she planned to go through the experience drug free.
“I thought I was gonna be really tough and make it, I was going to labor to eight centimeters … but the first contraction I got was horrific!” she explained.
She continues, “I was screaming for an epidural when [Brian Austin Green] was driving me to the hospital because my water broke on its own and I was immediately — it was level orange alert pain.”
Fox and husband Brian Austin Green welcomed their son, Noah Shannon Green, in September, with no paparazzi to much of their surprise.
Previously starring in Transformers, Fox takes on a new role in This Is 40, a look at life several years after Knocked Up, in which Rudd and Leslie Mann also starred. Despite the excitement of the December 21 release, Fox is most excited about her new role as a mother.
“It’s exhausting, but it’s amazing and you can’t, until you have kids, you can’t imagine how much you could possibly love a human being,” she said. “It’s really intense and really overwhelming and amazing.”
