Saturday evening the Miami Heat defeated the Brooklyn Nets in a late third quarter comeback to win 102-89. Heat guard Dwayne Wade led the Heat with a season-high scoring 34 points and added seven assists.
This game gives Heat fans and the organization a positive outlook for Wade. He has been struggling this season with injuries and in turn his performance suffered. The Heat’s defense has built a reputation of stepping up in the fourth quarter. According to The Associated Press, Miami kept the Nets to only 30 points in the second half. The Nets were 10 for 31 in field goal attempts in the second half as well.
The Heat are making it tremendously difficult for any team to beat them at home. Reuters reports that after this victory, the Heat have remained undefeated at home.
This was the second victory against the Nets, the first time they faced off, the Heat defeated them by 30 points.
