Miley Cyrus channeled her inner diva before switching to a full-on rebel at VH1’s Divas concert Sunday night.
The former Disney star rocked a Norma Kamali black turtleneck dress with diamond cutouts on the side before changing into an all black leather ensemble for her performance, according to the Daily Mail UK. The studded leather jacket continued Cyrus’ recent trend of wearing edgier, midriff-baring outfits.
The 20-year-old turned up the heat during her performance of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,” which consisted of pyrotechnics, crowd surfing and crotch grabbing.
According to the NY Daily News, the singer showed her vulnerable side via Twitter after the concert tweeting, “Feeling connected to my baby girl Lila after tonight," Cyrus tweeted later Sunday. "I know she's up in doggy heaven proud of her mommy for staying strong.”
Cyrus’ performance Sunday is merely another step toward the new image the pop star is trying to create. She had a seductive appearance on Two and a Half Men and a concert Dec. 8 with Borgore, where she wore a revealing outfit while singing next to topless female dancers.
VH1’s Diva concert also included performances from Kelly Clarkson, Natasha Bedingfield and many more.
