Neve Campbell discusses choosing baby Caspian's name on 'The Talk'

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Actress Neve Campbell discussed the importance of keeping her child’s name as unique as hers during her appearance on The Talk.

Campbell, who gave birth to her son Caspian Field nearly five months ago, appeared on Monday’s episode of The Talk, People reports. The Party of Five actress explained, “We looked through a lot of books and I liked the idea of a unique name.”

“I like having a unique name — it’s [my mom's] maiden name, Neve — and not a lot of people have it. It’s nice having something special and different and so I wanted something like that for our son.”

Campbell and her British actor husband announced that they were expecting a bundle of joy in March.

The 39-year-old actress admits at the time of their son’s birth, the only name she and husband JJ Field could remember from their list of potential names was “Caspian.”

Since the birth of Caspian, Campbell has taken on a guest role in Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Derek Shepherd’s sister Lizzie. She is slated to star in the TV Movie Sworn to Silence, Vivaldi and Division 19.
