Tragedy struck in the Clackamas Town Center Oregon mall Tuesday when 22-year-old Jake Roberts opened fire in the busy mall taking the lives of two people and injuring one before shooting himself.
Roberts has been identified as the person who wore a hockey mask, a bullet proof vest and donned an assault rifle in which he opened fire on the busy mall, CNN reports.
Attention has been turned to Roberts’ Facebook since the shooting, which reveals a photo of a man painting, “Follow Your Dreams” with the word “canceled” written across it. He writes of himself, “Hey what's up guys my names Jake and I'm an alcoholic... Lol just kidding. If you were to ask someone that knows me they would probably say that I am a pretty funny person that takes sarcasm to the max.”
"I'm the conductor of my choo choo train," his profile also reads. "I may be young but I have lived one crazy life so far."
It is still uncertain what drove Roberts to kill, and according to Wall Street Journal, he did not know any of the victims.
The injured victim has been identified as Kristina Shevchenko. She is noted as “stable.”
Cindy Yuillle and Steven Mathew Forsyth have been identified as the two victims killed in Tuesday’s shooting.
The families of Cindy and Steven have released statements: “Cindy was everybody's friend. She was a wonderful person who was very caring and put others first.”
Steven’s family said: "Steve was one of the most passionate people with a true entrepreneurial spirit that drove him to start his business, Coastoms. He had a great sense of humor and zest for life."
