Pawn Stars’ Rick and Corey Harrison were fined $1,000 for leaving trash behind at a California campground.
According to TMZ, the Harrisons had been camping with some friends in Glamis, California for Thanksgiving weekend. Among the large amount of trash left behind at the site were garbage, beer cans, and a BBQ grill.
However, Corey Harrison has denied that the mess was their fault.
“We left the campground before our buddies did and they were to clean it up and apparently didn't follow through. My father nor I were cited," he told TMZ.
Regardless of who did it, this type of dumping is considered illegal in California.
SanDiego.gov classifies illegal dumping as disposing of any waste, including appliances, trash and litter in a public place. Whether it's city or private property, if there is no consent from the owner, it is not allowed.
Citizens are encouraged to report any incidents of dumping to the authorities. Law enforcement officials will investigate complaints immediately and handle them accordingly.
