Miley Cyrus has spent a long time working on her latest album. The 20-year-old singer is hoping to come out with a personal, raw and very different album than she has released in the past.
While fans have yet to get a taste of her “dirty south” inspired music, Pharrell Williams, who was one of many she collaborated with in the studio, dished about the album, saying what you’re going to hear may be surprising.
"Her sound right now is her personality," said Pharrell in an interview with MTV News. "That's what we've been aiming for in the studio and that's what's been coming out and that's what's been sounding so interesting. Her voice is a very powerful one -- you just have to hear it to know that and to understand it. It's nowhere near what it is that you think."
Fans may have to wait a little longer for Cyrus’ new music, since she wants to make sure it is perfect in what she’s trying to say. Going forward in her career, she wants to be remembered for “things that are great.”
"I want people to remember me for things that are great," she said, according to The Huffington Post. "Much bigger than the comedies that I do, but more about the music that I write and the songs that you leave for the world to think about."
