Pippa Middleton to become royal correspondent for 'Today'?

By Gina DiFalco,

It was being reported that the younger sister of Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton, was offered to become a royal correspondent for NBC’s Today Show.

Pippa, who became a media sensation after the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has become a tabloid fixture and many likely would hope she would take the job.

But it turns out that The Mirror’s report that Pippa could get $600,000 for appearing on 20 episodes a year isn’t true.

According to The New York Daily News, NBC says they made “no such offer” to 29-year-old Pippa.

But “She of course is welcome as a guest on Today anytime,” NBC spokeswoman Megan Kopf also said.

Pippa recently released a book titled Celebrate, which did far less than expected and was ripped apart by critics. It’s been suggested that she turns down other offers, such as being on the Ellen DeGeneres Show or a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight because she doesn’t want to the royal family to think she’s using their name for publicity.
