Real Housewives of New York’s Bethenny Frankel announced over the weekend that she and husband Jason Hoppy have split. The two married just two years ago.
“It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating,” Frankel said in a statement to E! News Sunday. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family. We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”
According to The New York Daily News, their two-year marriage has been filled with ups and downs and the couple battled rumors that they were breaking up for months. There were also tabloid reports that Hoppy was upset with Frankel taking their sex life public.
They are the parents of Bryn, 2, and starred in spinoff series from Real Housewives of New York. Their marriage was the focus of Bethenny Getting Married and then Bethenny Ever After. They met while Frankel was on RHONY.
“I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family,” she tweeted. Frankel also thanked her fans for their support.
Thank you all so much. You give me so much love, and I am so grateful. It feels like your words could get someone through anything.
