Hip Hop artist Rick Ross has come forward to address rumors that he canceled upcoming tour dates due to gang threats.
"I canceled the rest of the tour due to the promoter, he wasn't really handlin' his business," Ross explained as quoted by MTV.
Ross continues to explain that the cancelation was on behalf of concert promoter Shawn Gee, who canceled three of the shows without even notifying him. "I just felt like that was some power that I needed to take away from homey, so I canceled the rest of the dates that I had arranged with him,” he explained.
As we previously reported, the North Carolina chapter of the Gangster Disciples posted a YouTube video telling Ross to stay out of NC.
Ross addressed the video via MTV, saying, “Once they began to unravel, I shut it down. Never was it due to any threats. Any dude can stand in a crowd with 30 or 40 dudes and everybody real, everybody trill, everybody 'bout that life, everybody gangsta. But when the choppers come out, everybody fold."
He concluded his address adding, “So don't ever get it twisted, Ricky Rozay is a boss.”
