Congratulations are in order for Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood after marrying girlfriend Sally Humphreys Friday.
Despite the age difference of 31 years, the English rocker followed tradition and asked Humphreys’ parents for their daughter’s hand.
“There is an age gap. I would prefer it if there wasn't but there is,” Wood admitted, according to Examiner.com.
The ceremony was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London, where the bride participated in another wedding tradition.
“I'm really excited. And for anyone interested I’m wearing my mum's wedding dress,” Humphreys said according to Examiner.com.
Although Mick Jagger wasn’t in attendance, Wood’s musician friends Rod Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster as well as Paul McCartney and wife Nancy Shevell all were present for the vows.
According to USA Today the couple had been seeing each other for six months before announcing their engagement in October. The wedding is Wood’s third time tying the knot.
The rocker completed a string of performances in the U.S. for the Rolling Stones’ “50 and Counting” anniversary tour.
