Scarface actor Steven Bauer was arrested in Miami after driving with a suspended license.
According to The Associated Press, Bauer, whose real real name is Steven Ernest Echevarria, was stopped in Sweetwater, Fla., after making an improper left turn at 11:50 p.m. Monday.
The police originally gave the actor a warning, but after running the 52-year-old actor’s driver’s license the officer discovered an open 12-year-old warrant.
CBS Miami reported that Bauer was booked into a pre-trial detention center Tuesday at 4 a.m. before being transported to the Miami-Dade County jail, where the bond was set at $500.
Bauer is a Cuban-American actor known for his role as Manny Ribera in Scarface and his role on the bilingual PBS show, Que Pasa, USA. The actor also appeared on an episode of AMC’s Breaking Bad as a Mexican cartel boss.
The actor was also married to actress Melanie Griffith in 1982. The couple had one son, Alexander, before divorcing in 1987. Bauer had another son, Dylan, with his second wife Ingrid Anderson, before they divorced in 1991. He had a third wife, but the relationship also ended in divorce.
