Shaun White, the famous snowboarder, has cut his famous hair. White cut his hair for the Locks of Love charity, which provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged kids who suffer from hair loss, for example as a result of cancer.
White became famous for winning gold medals at the Olympics for snowboarding. White's nickname, "The Flying Tomato" is attributed to his snow boarding abilities and his red hair.
According to USA Today White said,"I have been thinking about this for awhile," He added further, "it's for a good cause so I'm going to do it."
Locks of Love states a ponytail must be 10 inches long to properly make a hairpiece. Whether White's locks will make the cut is questionable. Regardless, White made a lovely gesture for a great charity and now will be without his famous tomato mane.
As we previously reported White was arrested in September for some drunken behavior. Perhaps his recent good dead will make up for his previous antics.
Although, White has always been involved in charity. As we previously reported, White took part in a Boys & Girls Club campaign.
Also White, according to USA Today also had a victory at the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships in Breckenridge, Colo. White said in a post-interview regarding the event, "I come in to do well and to win."
