Taylor Swift releases music video for 'I Knew You Were Trouble' (Video)

By Gina DiFalco,

Taylor Swift has released the music video for her song “I Knew You Were Trouble” off of her hit album Red on her 23rd birthday.

Swift spent her birthday in England with her new boyfriend, One Direction’s Harry Styles, but she debuted the video for the song that’s rumored to be about her ex, Jake Gyllenhaal.

The video shows a more punk side of the country crooner, with tattoos, dirty hotel rooms, fights, makeout sessions and more. This is quite a departure from the usual flirty floral-wearing Swift.

"I think that the worst part of it all wasn't losing him, it was losing me,” Swift says in a voiceover in the beginning,” MTV News reports. At the end, she says "I don't know if you know who you are until you lose who you were.”

E! Online reports that Swift stars opposite Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark star Reeve Carney in the video.

Furthermore, Swift’s friend Selena Gomez posted a video of herself with a few friends dancing to the song. Check it out below:
