Trey Songz, real name Tremaine Neverson, managed to keep a strip-club altercation quiet for nearly four months.
TMZ reports that Songz held an album release party at a Queens Strip Club August 21; in the early hours of Aug. 22, police were called to the scene for an alleged altercation. According to the police report, “Tremaine Neverson, did throw a sum of United States currency at the complainant and said sum of United States currency struck the complainant's left eye causing substantial pain to her left eye."
According to New York Daily News, Songz was celebrating the release of his fifth studio album, Studio V.
TMZ notes that it is uncertain if the woman struck with the money was an erotic dancer.
Songz was arrested a month later for misdemeanor assault, the report continues and appeared in court November 1. He is also expected to appear in court in February regarding the incident.
Both TMZ and NY Daily News have not received comment regarding the incident.
