'Twilight' and 'Skyfall' lead another weekend at the box office

By Matthew Dougherty,

Looking at the box office results from this weekend you may think you were looking at the results from last weekend as the order of the films are almost identical.

According to IGN, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 won the weekend with $17.4 million.

It just edged out Skyfall which made $17 million

ComingSoon.net reports that last week’s films all came in around the same spot.

Lincoln, Rise of the Guardians and Life of Pi came in third, fourth and fifth just as they did over Thanksgiving weekend. The former two made $13.5 million and the latter made $12 million.

Wreck-It Ralph landed in sixth again, just edging out the first new release in the top ten, the Brad Pitt vehicle Killing Them Softly, which made $7 million.

That film bumped down Red Dawn and Flight a spot from last week. They both made $6.5 million and $4.5 million respectively.

The Collection rounded out the top ten making $3.4 million.

Next week sees the release of the romantic comedy Playing for Keeps.
