A&E released two creepy teasers for their upcoming show, Bates Motel, which focuses on a young Norman Bates from Psycho.
Coming Soon posted the two teasers on Friday for the upcoming show, which can be viewed below:
The first teaser shows someone handcuffed to a sink, while the second shows part of someone’s burning body.
The show is a modern prequel to the Alfred Hitchcock movie, Psycho, and focuses on Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) as a young man before he became a serial killer. The show will touch on his strange relationship with his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga).
We reported Highmore’s casting in September. Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights) and Carlton Cuse (Lost) created the show.
The Hollywood Reporter posted some exclusive photos of the cast early this week. The photos include various characters from the show including: Max Thieriot as Dylan Bates, Norman’s brother, Olivia Cooke as Emma Decody, a classmate of Norman’s, and Lost’s Nestor Carbonell as Sheriff Alex Romero.
"We are incredibly excited to start production on Bates Motel,” Cuse told the Hollywood Reporter. “We think our take on the Bates family will both be surprising and subvert expectations. We can't wait for people to check in."
The show will air sometime in 2013.
