Wendy Willams, the outspoken TV talk show host, accused Beyonce of being unable to speak. She further expressed how she is a fan, but cannot understand when Beyonce attempts to communicate.
Williams on her "Hot Topic" segment was discussing Beyonce's HBO documentary. She admitted she was a fan but feels Beyoncé "can't talk."
Williams also said,“I’m watching because fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning, so I’ll be able to understand what she says. You know Beyoncé can’t talk. Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth-grade education. She can’t talk.”
Williams, despite her fans' cries, continued on further. She added that "You know Beyonce can't talk. She sounds like she has a fifth-grade education." Wendy's remarks only grew more offensive and insulting although she insists she is a fan. Wendy, who claims she was just being honest, and known for speaking her mind, meant no offense by the comments.
After more flouting, Williams said, following audience outcry, "Excuse me, I just said I was a fan. But we have to call a spade a spade." Williams was unavailable for further comments, especially considering some of the Twitter attention her comments received.
Beyoncé’s documentary will air Feb. 16 on HBO.
