While the official word on Whitney Houston’s death says that the iconic singer died of an accidental drowning in her Beverly Hilton hotel room in February, a private investigator claims that she was murdered and that the murderers were caught on tape.
Paul Huebl, a former Chicago investigator now working in Hollywood, told the National Enquirer that he has evidence that “high-powered drug dealers” ordered “thugs to collect a huge debt she owed for drugs.”
He claims that the killers were caught on tape and that he is close to discovering the identity of the thugs, who were caught on a hotel surveillance video. Huebl says that these thugs were hanging around Houston during the days leading up to her Feb. 11 death and they were not known to members of Houston’s entourage.
According to Radar Online, Houston had reportedly had a cocaine delivery and was heard saying, “I’m tired of this sh*t.” Huebl claims that she was tired of people harassing her over the $1.5 million drug debt she had.
“Whitney’s body shows classic defense wounds that would have occurred while she was battling for her life,” Huebl told the Enquirer. He plans on submitting his evidence to the FBI’s Chicago office in the hopes that they re-open the case.
Back in March, officials confirmed that Houston died of an accidental drowning and that there was a mix of drugs in her system. An investigation report released in April found that there was cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in her hotel room. She was 48-years-old.
