70th Annual Golden Globe Awards Best and Worst Dressed

Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were held on Jan. 13, 2013. The night was full of big wins for seasoned actors and newcomers alike, which included numerous awards for Les Misérables including best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical and Ben Affleck, who won Best Director for the movie Argo.

Some other winners of the night were Anne Hathaway who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Misérables, Jennifer Lawrence of Silver Linings Playbook who won Best Actress Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical, Hugh Jackman of Les Misérables who took the Best Actor Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical award and newcomer Lena Dunham of Girls who won Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy.

It was also a big night in fashion as the celebrities graced the red carpet showing off their designer dresses and exclusive jewels at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Both men and women looked stunning as they graced the carpet. There were some recurring styles that are sure to be seen in our own future fashion styles. Among them were the mermaid silhouette, blush tones and a lot of lace. Some were reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour and roaring 20’s, while other dresses were more contemporary incorporating leather. Although most celebs were dressed exquisitely, there were some complete train wrecks.
