Adele makes first red carpet appearance since giving birth, wins Golden Globe for song 'Skyfall'

By Gina DiFalco,

Adele took home the Golden Globe for her song “Skyfall,” the theme song to the James Bond film of the same name.

While making her red carpet debut for the first time since being pregnant and having a baby, she revealed she was "very pregnant and very emotional" when recording the song.

"I got the script a long time ago and it took quite awhile to convince me to do the actual song," she told E! News’ Ryan Seacrest. “It's a big responsibility doing a Bond song. Paul McCartney's done it, Shirley Bassey's the queen of them, and I was worried I would let everyone down by doing it."

She went on to say “But I got convinced," adding, "I loved the script. I think Sam Mendes is just incredible and Daniel Craig is a gorgeous Bond. They're very serious now, the Bond films, they're kind of evolving as they're going on...[Skyfall] was very British."

Us Weekly reports upon winning the Golden Globe, Adele said "This is for my boyfriend Simon, who convinced me to do it, and my lovely son.”
