Adele rumored to perform for the first time in over a year at the Oscars

By Gina DiFalco,

It’s being rumored that Adele is making her return to the stage at this year’s Academy Awards, which will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane.

The British songstress has kept a very low profile since announcing her pregnancy and giving birth in 2012, and now it’s possible that she could take part in the 50th anniversary James Bond tribute at the Oscars on February 24.

AceShowBiz reports that Adele lent her famous voice to the theme song to Skyfall, appropriately called “Skyfall.”

Another rumor is that the song could garner a Best Original Song nomination at this year’s 85th annual Academy Awards.

MTV News reports the nominations will be announced on Jan. 10, and MacFarlane and Emma Stone will be the ones to do so.

Furthermore, there’s also been talk that Adele could skip the Oscars and opt to make her first appearance in more than a year at the Golden Globes.

As we previously reported, Adele gave birth to a son in October.
