“American Pie” Seann William Scott Splits from Fiancée

After nearly a year of engagement, actor Seann William Scott and fiancé Lindsey Fromdt have officially split. Scott is best known for his role of “Stifler” from the “American Pie” franchise and Fromdt is a former Victoria’s Secret model.

The actor, 35, proposed in the beginning of last year during a beach vacation, according to US Weekly .

At the time, the actor was thrilled with the match, announcing “I don’t know how I got a girl like my fiancé” at the “American Reunion” premiere. The Daily Mail reported Scott as joking, “She hadn’t seen ‘American Pie.’ Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been engaged.”

Before the proposal, the two dated for less than a year, prior to which the actor spent a stint in rehab. TheCelebrityCafe.com reported that Scott checked himself in for “personal problems.”

Fortunately, the two remain on friendly terms. Perez Hilton quotes a source as saying, “They remain friends. It was a very amicable split.”
