Whether she’s starring as Leslie Knope in NBC’s Parks and Recreation, playing a dysfunctional ‘cool’ mom in Mean Girls, or hosting the Golden Globes, Amy Poehler has made a significant mark on audiences with her unparalleled sense of humor.
On Monday, It Books, a division of HarperCollins Publishers, reported that Poehler is collaborating with them for her first book, which is set to release during the fall of 2014.
The Big Story stated that the untitled piece was "An illustrated, non-linear diary full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons, the book will be a unique and engaging experience from one of today's most talented and beloved stars."
Poehler will join the club with other TV women, such as fellow Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey and The Office star Mindy Kaling, who released notably hilarious personal memoirs over the past few years.
As we patiently wait for Poehler’s book to be released, Newsweek reassures us that it will be a must read that no one should stand to miss.
