Actress Amy Poehler is penning an “illustrated, non-linear” book.
TV Guide reports that the Golden Globe host is in the works of creating a “twist” on the “conventional memoir.” Poehler was signed by It Books, a HarperCollins imprint, which was announced Tuesday.
“Her original twist on the conventional memoir will have universal appeal. An illustrated, non-linear diary full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons, the book will be a unique and engaging experience from one of today's most talented and beloved stars,” the company said in a statement.
According to USA Today, the Parks and Recreation star's untitled book is slated for a fall 2014 release.
News of the memoir follows the announcement of Pohler’s split from husband Will Arnett, whom she was married to for nine years.
USA Today notes that Poehler has never officially had her hand in the writing process, but her character on her Parks and Rec series did create Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America.
