Anchorman 2' Atlanta set gets robbed

By Gavriella Tjandra,

The set for Anchorman 2 was robbed.

Over the holidays, thieves broke into the warehouse Paramount Pictures rented to film Will Ferrell’s movie, and stole $300,000 worth of copper wires.

Based on the police report the crews filed, the burglars got away with an additional four Apple computers as well, E! News reported.

The thieves came right after production on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movie Breacher was finished, and right before the Anchorman sequel was filmed. The building owner David Nort, who had rented his warehouse for several movie productions for the past several months, stated his disappointment leading the incident.

"It's a shame this happened because Atlanta is really trying to get big in the film industry,” he said.

He was afraid this incident would discourage other movie productions in Atlanta.
Fox Atlanta reported that there were two break-ins happened recently, once around Christmastime and the second time on New Year’s Day.

A reward of $5,000 was offered to anyone who had the information leading the theft, Perez Hilton reported.
