After a three month competition, Anthony Ryan Auld beat Uli Herzner and Emilio Sosa to become the winner of season two of Project Runway: All Stars.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the finalists of Project Runway: All Stars competed against each other by creating a mini collection, with a budget of $3,000 in only four days. Anthony Ryan named his collection “Thin Line,” focusing on color-blocking and cutouts.
Host Carolyn Murphy, Judges Isaac Mizrahi, Georgina Chapman all gave him heavy praises, especially on his opening dress, a combination of a blue bodice with a cutout back and black skirt. Guest judge Liv Tyler said that she wanted to wear the dress.
The prize for the winner of Project Runway: All Stars was huge. E! Online reports that Anthony Ryan will be able to create a collection for Nine West, receive $150,000, a sewing and embroidery studio and a technology suite. He will also receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire Magazine and a position as a contributing editor for one year. What’s more, he will get an all-expense-paid trip to fashion weeks in cities such as Milan, Paris, Tokyo and London.
Anthony Ryan is 29 and from Baton Rouge, LA. He was on Project Runway Season 9, and got eliminated in the 10th episode. The winner for season 9 was Anya Ayoung.
Project Runway Season 11 will premiere on Jan. 24.
